Alexis Piña
Assistant Director of Bands

Mr. Piña is a graduate from Illinois State University where he earned a master’s degree in trumpet performance. Prior to his stay in Illinois, Mr. Piña attended Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas, his hometown, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in music education. Additionally, Mr. Piña holds a full certification in Music Education grades from both Texas & Illinois. In his role as an educator, Mr. Piña's priority is assisting students to become the best version of themselves possible, not just as musicians, but also as human beings, taking into account their own unique circumstances and personalities, while fostering a positive culture that promotes collaborative growth.
Alyssa Brown

Ms. Alyssa Brown is a second year teacher, graduating from the University of North Texas in 2025 with a degree in Music Education with a concentration on flute. While at UNT she performed with the UNT Concert Bands, the 2 and 8 O'Clock Steel Bands, and the UNT Brazilian Ensemble, as well as gaining a secondary concentration in trombone. Outside of school she enjoys photography, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
