About Us
Campus History
University High school began on Bagby Ave on the campus of the former Waco Technical High School. According to then Waco ISD Superintendent E.N. Dennard, “University means universal, and that's what this school is-a universal school teaching all subjects.” That quote still rings true today.
In 2008, the community passed a bond to build a new high school. Its present location at 3201 S. New Road is a modern, state-of-the-art homage to education. The staff moved into the new building in the summer 2011 and wish to thank the community for it's tireless dedication to improving the educational environment of our students.
The vision of University High School is to be a school that earns the highest accountabiity rating in the state of Texas. To that end, we strive "All Day, Every Day" to meet the needs of our students.
Mission and Core Values
The mission of University High School is to work as a team of students, teachers, parents, and community members to teach and model the actions of Love, Serve, and Care. At UHS we believe that everyone who loves, serves, and cares is a leader at our school.
